What we believe About…

BEING MISSIONAL
We seek to fulfill the Great Commission Jesus gave His followers in Matthew 28:19-20 by living our faith 24/7. We also financially support missionaries and missions organizations, and our main support goes to church-planting missionaries and organizations. We believe that financial support is only one small part of being missional, and that it is important to be actively involved in local and wider missions work.

THE KINGDOM MINDSET
God is the sovereign King not only of the church but of the entire universe, therefore we encourage Christians to live for Christ in all spheres of life: business, education, government, arts and entertainment, law, medicine, etc. Since God’s Kingdom is vastly larger than any single church or denomination, we seek to work with and have good relations with a wide variety of Christians.

THE REFORMATION
We believe the Protestant theologians of the Reformation did a remarkable job of recapturing the teachings of the Bible, so our preaching is consistent with that perspective.

ASSIMILATION and CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
We believe that every Christian has an important part to play in the church. Likewise, the church has an important part to play in helping every Christian find fulfillment and joy by discovering and developing the spiritual gifts God has given them, so we offer a clear and intentional process of helping people become an integral member of Quest Church and for equipping them to discover and develop their gifts.

SIGNS and WONDERS
We emphasize the Person and work of the Holy Spirit, the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, the importance of being filled with the Spirit, and that our all-powerful God can perform miracles, but we do not focus on signs and wonders in our worship service because we believe that distracts from the main task of the local church, which is to exalt Jesus Christ and proclaim the good news about Him as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission He gave His followers in Matthew 28:19-20.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Are special abilities the Holy Spirit gives whenever, wherever, and to whomever He wants. The purpose of these gifts is always to glorify Jesus and build up the church. We let the Spirit be in charge of His gifts.

DIVORCE and CHURCH LEADERSHIP
We do not encourage divorce, but rather reconciliation and restoration of marriage. We do not make marriage, divorce, or remarriage the single qualifying or disqualifying issue for leadership in the church.

ACCOUNTABILITY and FREEDOM in CHURCH GOVERNMENT
We believe that both accountability and liberty within defined boundaries are important aspects of church government. Our Presbyterian system of government is unique in that it provides both of these benefits.
